College Libraries Ontario (CLO) is a collaborative organization that represents the 24 college libraries across Ontario. It advocates for the provision of exceptional library services and resources that support student success. CLO's members consist of the Heads of Libraries from each of Ontario's colleges. The organization reports to the Coordinating Committee of Vice-Presidents, Student Affairs (CCVPS) under the Committee of Presidents (COP) and Colleges Ontario, which represents the province’s 24 public colleges.
Through collaborative resources, services, and programming, CLO works to empower learners to reach their potential.
CLO is a diverse community of 24 Ontario college library leaders that:
Harnesses the power of the collective to advance the teaching, learning, and research missions of our colleges.
Inspires collaborative projects to benefit college library communities.
Demonstrates value of individual libraries to their sponsors, students, and other stakeholders.
Promotes equitable access to resources, programs, and services.
Our community-oriented directors emphasize transparency, open communication, collaboration, and mutual trust. We lead with a shared sense of responsibility and commitment, guided by a common vision for the future of strong college libraries in Ontario.
