About Us
College Libraries Ontario (CLO)
College Libraries Ontario (CLO) is a collaborative body comprised of the 24 Ontario College Libraries that advocates on behalf of students for the best college library services and resources.
CLO reports to the Coordinating Committee of Vice-Presidents, Student (CCVPS) under the Committee of Presidents (COP), for Colleges Ontario the association representing the province’s 24 public colleges. CLO members are the Heads of the Library for each Ontario College.
Our Vision:
Through collaborative resources, services, and programming, CLO works to empower learners to reach their potential.
Our Mandate:
CLO is a diverse community of 24 Ontario college library leaders that:
Harnesses the power of the collective to advance the teaching, learning, and research missions of our colleges.
Inspires collaborative projects to benefit college library communities.
Demonstrates value of individual libraries to their sponsors, students, and other stakeholders.
Works tirelessly to promote equitable access to resources, programs, and services.
Our community-oriented directors emphasize transparency, open communication, collaboration, and mutual trust. We lead with a shared sense of responsibility and commitment, guided by a common vision for the future of strong college libraries in Ontario.
